First of all, thank you all for your support by calling in to vote for me
after I participated in the local competition.

The Fowler all night Sings, is the oldest vocal contest to give undiscovered performers a shot to be signed by a recording label. The first contest was in the late 1940's run by it's founder Wally Fowler. I did a search in Google for Fowler All Night Sings, and the results listed many artists from age 11 and up who were participating either in Branson or Nashville.

I was pumped and ready to go to what I thought was the opportunity of a lifetime. Then I received an email from a woman who claimed to be Wally Fowler's daughter. She forwarded copies of news articles from papers in Texas which at least in part  discredited the whole "All Night Sings" today. It seems that not all of the claims had been honored in the past and I did not want to waste my time and money.

I do not know all of the details and do not wish to bad mouth any one here. The point is, I did not go for this reason and am still a little saddened. I had planned to sing "God Bless the U.S.A.". What an honor to be able to sing Lee Greenwood's wonderful song on the anniversary of 9/11/2001.

I hope to sing a great tune such as that for a big event someday real soon.
